Chuck it in breeeeeewwwww….Matt Jackson on D1 round 1

I decided I was going to a run a driver a day leading up to D1, and hopefully give you guys an insight into whom the drivers thought was going to do well, and who might emerge out of the woodwork as a challenge. It’s also a good way to keep tabs on who’s made recent changes to their cars looking for more power or grip, or sometimes both.

Todays driver is Matt “Chuckie” Jackson, although his interview was hi-jacked by his self proclaimed more famous finance Livia Forian, who provided the following answers on Matt’s behalf

Right ~~Chuckie~~ Livi …welcome, quick update, whats happening with SMKDAT v2.0?

That’s right ME!!!Livi!! the more famous one ay Matt!! Haha!

Nothing’s really changed since it was in NZPC haha, read that for all the specs!! Umm, it got tuned by Glenn Suckling to 270kw I know for round 1, and it has a drag wing built by the infamous JT now on the rear. We have some new Kumho rubber to try and hopefully all the mechanical gremlins from NZD are gone!!

So what are the goals for the season?

Firstly KEEP DRIFTING FUN!! He’s gotta remember that! Otherwise its just to qualify consistently, and keep the car in one piece. If that doesn’t work, then who knows, maybe we’ll try and RWD my Evo and give that a go.

Right, so while Chuckie’s still learning the car, I’ll ask the same question I’ve asked others, if he doesn’t qualify #1 who will?

Awww…well he’s my fiance so of course he’ll qualify 1!!(I have to say that don’t I?) But I think its probably going to be Gaz Whiter. He’s always gone good at Manfield and I think won the last 2 events there.

Who will be the driver to surprise people?

Let’s say Brad Lauder,I think he will go good.
